Groove School A#-Sharp, Education thru Music, is a structured after-school and out-school program that integrates music into academic subjects, expressive arts, and social skills building. We are a multicultural, music-based program, providing an alternative to large after school-program settings; providing a safe and supportive environment.

In short, Groove School uses STREAM (Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts, Math/Music) as the tool for increasing learning capabilities, promoting language arts and reading, and using creative and fun outlets.

Students learn the fundamentals of music theory, preparing and training them to read, compose, and perform music of various genres. Exploration, including playing keyboard, guitar, violin, and drums, vocal coaching, drama, and performance development.

They also learn the importance of treating others how they want to be treated incorporating non-violent practices in their everyday lives. Take a look at our Pledge of Non-Violence.
