This distinguished recognition honors a nonprofit organization and two community leaders that demonstrate excellence in literacy leadership by going above and beyond to elevate\, improve\, promote\, and increase access to literacy and higher education opportunities for members of the Lynn community and beyond. \nGeneral admission ticket availability is limited for this event due to COVID-19 guidelines and regulations. \n \n\n\nThis year\, the proceeds of the Celebrate Literacy Day event will go to The REAL Program whose mission is to improve literacy in Lynn\, Massachusetts. There are three vital initiatives for The REAL Program: \n\nBefore Home/REALSTREAM\nFamily Literacy (including ESL)\nREAL Little Free Library®\n\nThe REAL Little Free Library initiative gives free\, diverse books to children and families.
